Postponed due to Corona restrictions imposed in 2020, on Wednesday April 03, the event will take place.
Theoretical and practical aspects of the low stress stockmanship method and the interaction between humans and cattle will be discussed in detail and shown in a practical demonstration at the host farm.

Low Stress Stockmanship Europe on working visit to the Spanish island of Tenerife

As Animal Welfare Officer, Ronald Rongen will visit several livestock farms in Tenerife to advise and train livestock farmers about handling and selection of local Canary Island cattle breeds for farming and stockbreeding.
This with the aim of protecting and preserving these cattle breeds for livestock production in the Canary Islands.
These local breeds are an important cultural asset in Spain and are not used for bullfighting.

As founder and owner of LSSE, Ronald Rongen will participate in the BARTA Conference 2024, which is organized by the British Animal Rescue and Trauma Care Association (BARTA) and the Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine, Scotland.
