Hello Ronald,
two years ago we were attending your cattle grazing seminar for suckler cows at the LBZ Echem and we talked to you about cattle breeds during our lunch break.
At that time, we were still working on a cattle farm in North Rhine-Westphalia and we were thinking about buying cattle for grazing.
You advised us on which breed would suit us best and recommended Angus cattle.
We have since bought our own farm near Oldenburg and actually have a small herd of Angus cattle.
All four suckler cows are pregnant and our first calves are due in a few months.
We often think of your helpful tips for low stress cattle handling and would also like to thank you very much for the tip to go for Angus cattle. We are very happy with our decision.
Best regards and maybe we'll see you at a future seminar or event.

Dear Ronald,
You held a seminar in Schafflund (Agrar Beratung Nord ), in December 2023.
The subsequent practical part took place on my dairy farm in Nordhackstedt.
On your advice, we turned the hoof trimming crush in the opposite direction.
This makes it much easier to guide the dairy cows in.
Many thanks for the good advice.

The Low Stress Stockmanship seminar for suckler cow farmers is an enrichment for our staff.
Especially the combination of theory and practice.
Those who learned nothing today will never learn anything.
I express the wish that Mr. Rongen will come back again.
We would also like to organize training sessions for our barn staff in sheep and goat farming.

It is better to move cows more quietly, that has become clear to me during this seminar for suckler cow farmers.
The design and dimensions of the cattle corral is also a very crucial factor.
I noticed that I used to approach the cows from the wrong direction, but that is now history.

Dear Mr. Rongen,
I have already been able to implement much of what I learned at the seminar for cattle farmers, and the hoof care went quite smoothly.
I hope there will soon be a seminar in our area, which I can also attend with my husband.
All the best and hope to see you soon.
Kind regards

In June 2022, we organized an evening for cattle farmers: an interesting evening for dairy farmers with an insight into the statistics of veterinary practice and a presentation given by Ronald Rongen.
Ronald Rongen, with his company Low Stress Stockmanship Europe (LSSE), has made it his passion to handle cattle in such a way that the animals experience as little stress as possible, and working conditions and safety for the farmer are optimized.
A fascinating and informative presentation and highly recommended for every livestock farmer!

In fact, pig behavior knowledge should be integrated into modern pig farming as a standard curriculum during training.
I learned a lot in Mr. Rongen's seminar for pig farmers and was deeply impressed.
Especially the explanation of why pigs typically react in certain situations, and how you can use this meaningfully in practice.
Great seminar!!

Dear Mr. Rongen,
Thank you very much for the interesting seminar.
You managed to motivate even the most skeptical employees, as was shown during the event and in discussions afterwards.
Now it is up to us to implement the suggestions.
We will take the slogan "Slow down, we don't have time" to heart in other contexts as well.

We experienced major problems with heat stress on our dairy farms in June 2021.
After contacting Ronald Rongen, he gave us several advices on adapting our ventilation system and installing sprinkler systems.
The result is really amazing. The cows eat better, the drop in production disappeared after a few days, and the barn climate has noticeably improved.
Thank you Ronald for your advice and the pleasant cooperation!

THANK YOU RONALD!
We (Jens and Mette Hansen), have a dairy farm in Denmark (Central Jutland) and milk 580 cows.
The annual production is 11,600 kg. at 3x daily milking in a rotary milking parlor with 34 positions, (insite milking area).
We asked Ronald Rongen from LSSE for help and advice because during milking we had some cows that always defecate (or urinate) in the last 5 milking positions before the exit. They are not specific cows.
After his analysis, Ronald gave us a clear explanation and advice that we followed. Fortunately, the problem is now definitely solved.
We now save 5.5 man hours per week on cleaning! Also our job satisfaction is back.
Ronald, thank you very much for the good advice and your help!
Greetings from Denmark,

As a self-employed cattle pedicurist, I believe that safe and efficient working practices are very important.
Not only for myself but also for my clients and their animals.
Ronald gave me many clear and useful practical tips that I immediately tried out.
I clearly notice that the animals are now much calmer in the claw treatment box.
Everything is much calmer and ultimately faster. The small adjustments to my mobile claw treatment box were easy to make and their positive effect is really fantastic! I am very satisfied with the result.

Thank you for the clear and practical explanations during the February 12 study meeting of the cattle veterinarians West Brabant.
I have gained a lot of useful info regarding cow behavior.
Your advice on calf rearing after the informative lecture was also very enlightening for me.
Today I have already adjusted a few things with the calves and see the positive results immediately.
Super advice and they are exactly right as you explained and indicated !!
Thanks again and I will definitely be in touch to continue learning.

Last week (December 12-13, 2019), there were two super informative days for our cattle producers on Low Stress Stockmanship.
When you know that a cow only sees 30% sharply of what we see, but can smell 47 times better and hear many higher tones, you start looking at cows with very different eyes.
Talking to cows is not done with your voice but with your body language. A real "eye-opener" for anyone who works with cows!

Hello Ronald,
Hereby a short update.
After your visit and advice we didn't lose a calf anymore because of not wanting to drink, we are super happy with it.
We are still very happy that you have been with us. The results are there. I pass on your tips so often to colleagues, it remains a struggle against some of the established order. But we feel so strong after a year that we are fully up against it!

Good afternoon,
I just wanted to let you know that the calves are doing very well.
Drinking 12 liters of milk is not yet possible, but when they are now 14 days old and they go to the Drinking Machine,
they drink about 8 liters a day.
The dispenser builds this up to 10 liters within a week. I feed "foktop" from the company Alpuro.
Our pilot group came through the test great. Maybe in a while I will build up further.
Now for the first two weeks they don't drink more than 4 liters at a time so 8 liters total.
But I can already see that the calves are growing much better! I just want to report this.

As a livestock farmer I am very critical and skeptical of new things and changes. People around me know this all too well.
I've been following Ronald's contributions on Facebook for a while now, and try out some things (as a trial) with my own animals.
Now I hate to admit it, but the results are amazingly positive. Knowing how cows react in certain situations and why, really helps in the barn and in the pasture.
It is not easy to face up to. I am often still of the "old school and stubborn" variety.

Ronald was the guest speaker at the meeting of "DOC cheese" on 5 September 2019 in Lelystad, on the occasion of the honouring of their quality milkers. Together with my husband and parents-in-law, I was also present.
The way Ronald held his introduction was truly admirable. Through his extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with cows he managed to captivate those present from the first to the last minute. In understandable language and with practical situations that are recognizable to everyone.
We have learned a lot from the course and also heard many new things that we will use on our farm.
DOC Kaas, thank you for this successful event.

Our calf mortality rate was far too high, (despite much advice and guidance from various feed and veterinary consultants).
At the end of our tether we asked Ronald for his help and expertise. During his visit to our farm he opened our eyes with practical tips and a clear explanation.
We have adjusted the housing for our calves and the way we work to Ronald's advice.
Our experiences have been very positive. After the adjustments we made, calf mortality is almost zero.
The calves are much more vital, drink much better and more easily. They have much more fun in the barn.
The cattle dealer has noticed that the calves are also growing much better. The weighing data is proof.
Thank you Ronald, because of you we enjoy our work and our calves again!
